Why an account at all
The original game tied progress to the app; the revival ties it to you. A free Mirae Labs account holds your identity, settings and progress across updates and devices, so switching phones or reinstalling never starts you over. That is the entire purpose, and it is a fair trade for a one-minute form.
Creating it
Enter an email you control and a password you will remember, and submit. There is no email verification step, so the account works immediately. Use a real email anyway: password recovery is the kind of thing you only miss when it is too late.
